Starting a Small Business – 1.2.2024 amyvandermark, January 2, 2024January 2, 2024 BLOG POSTTuesday, January 2, 2024Starting a Small Business. It was never my idea to own a business. I’ve always been analytical and strategic for others businesses. I’ve always managed projects, departments, and initiatives. Owning a business is so much more comprehensive. When I worked for my last employer, he mentioned that it would make sense for me to start my own business. The idea had never occurred to me.Though I knew how to provide services, I had never asked myself, how do I communicate this to others? How do I present my services? I’ve always just . . . provided the service, delegated the tasks, and managed the timeline. Now, I was asking myself, what services do I want to provide? What services do I not want to provide? Where can I provide value for others? It has been an ongoing conversation, and one that I am enjoying as it evolves. For now, I have taken on a job to ensure the bills are getting paid while I decide what I want my business to look like. I have decided that I currently am not looking to add new clients. I want to get better at the systems that I have in place, so that when I bring clients on in the future, the process is more seamless for them. One neat aspect of taking on a job, is that I am able to help others reach their goals for their business, and so far, out of about 50 other individuals, I have been the top performer for 3 months in a row – which again, is a neat feeling. My current clients receive similar and different services. I am considering what services future clients will be eligible for and what that looks like.I’ll keep you updated throughout the year on how it’s going.– Amy Share this: Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Like this:Like Loading… Daily Blog Post Owning a Small Business Amy VandermarkChallengesConsistencyMarketingSmall Business OwnerTuesday
